Oahu Wedding; Jason and Stephanie; October 23, 2011

It was a beautiful afternoon at Moanalua Gardens as two people became one family today.  Jason stepped up to the plate of not only being a husband, but also a "dad" to young Kiyoshi, and the Uchiyama family came to be despite earlier rain and impending second round of showers.  The ceremony was short, sweet, and to the point (partly because I realized that everyone would be standing for the entire service).  I accompanied the wedding party to Natsunoya Tea House (nice place!) to sign the documentation and to make it all legal.  Just then, the dark gray clouds rolled in, a shower of blessing to the new family!

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud  or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.  It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.  Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 13 New Living Translation
